Video: Improving our neuroplasticity | Dr. Kelly Lambert | TEDxBermuda

Some takeaways from Dr. Kelly’s perspectives in the context of a behaviourceutical something that’s reminding you that your physical effort and the result of that is some reward:

  • Serotonin is increased when engaged in repetitive behaviour
  • Dopamine is mostly involved with anticipation, looking forward to something
  • Stress hormone cortisol about 50% of everyone diagnosed with depression has high cortisol levels
  • Oxytocin is important in fostering positive relationships and also probably reduces stress
