Video: Abundance Is A Choice | Elaine Starling

Some takeaways from Elaine’s perspective:

  • We can choose between a poverty mindset and abundance mindset once we know our current mindset
  • A poverty mindset may include many factors including giving up on yourself, it doesn’t feel good, it’s restrictive and confining
  • What appeared to be separate topics being researched by Elaine were all tangible examples of abundance and mindset can create this tangible abundance
  • Your mindset can determine your experience
  • Creating the mindset you want involves looking at your attention (what we focus on) and intention (how we want to feel in the present moment)
  • Poverty mindset: Attention involves focusing on ‘what is not working’, ‘what we don’t like’, ‘What’s going wrong’
  • Abundance mindset: Attention is on ‘what is working’, ‘what we are doing well’, ‘what we do like’, ‘what we appreciate’, ‘what we’re grateful for’
  • Poverty mindset: Intention involves focusing on ‘being right all the time’ which may result to being closed to new ideas
  • Abundance mindset: Intention is the opposite to being receptive and open to new ideas, insights and opportunities
  • Attention and intention improving from within may result in the external world also improving
